Respected Mr Ambassador
I am writing you to ask for your kind help in a matter of the greatest importance. It is about the case of Santiago Mora, a Colombian-Canadian renowned and respected academic, researcher and current Professor at the St Thomas Aquinas University in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Canada.
Mr Mora recently started a hunger strike as a pacific way to protest against the unfair decision of a Canadian court which decided to sequestrate 83% of his salary, to give it to his ex-wife so that she could pay for the lawyer she hired to represent her at their divorce trial. With this decision the judge left him and his children in a desperate and helpless situation, in which he is even struggling to provide food for himself and his children.
Me, his family and the whole academic community would kindly appreciate if you could look into the matter and intercede for him before the Canadian authorities so that his case can be reviewed by another judge and he can be heard.
I am grateful to you in advance for your kind attention, and I have the hope that your prompt and valuable help can prevent a tragedy, being the lives of his children and his own at stake.

Le escribo este mensaje con el propósito de que, por favor, interceda ante las autoridades correspondientes de su digno paÃs para que el profesor Santiago Mora Camargo, docente e investigador de la Universidad St Thomas, en Fredericton, New Brunswick, sea escuchado oportunamente por un juez en Canadá.
El profesor Mora recientemente emprendió una huelga de hambre en protesta pacÃfica contra la injusta determinación de la corte canadiense de privarlo del 83% de su salario, condenándolo a él y a sus hijos al hambre.
Le agradezco su gentil atención a mi vehemente solicitud y tengo la esperanza que su valiosa y oportuna intervención pueda evitar que se afecte la salud del destacado antropólogo colombiano.
